READING CHALLENGES 2021
With the exception of Goodreads Reading Challenge last year, I'd not thought of a reading challenge since I was a child. But someone posted to my favorite book club this master list of reading challenges from girlxoxo and I wanted to join at least half of them. I didn't, of course. I joined four: Back to Classics, Southern Literature, Cruisin' Through the Cozies, and Buzzwordathon. I also set myself two smaller, more personal challenges. Of course, I will also be reading lots of romances! I'm really excited about my year of reading ahead. I hope to read at least 100 books. It would be great if it turns out I read more.
I've decided to keep track of the books I read for the official reading challenges here -- at least, it seems a good idea at the moment! My book reviews, however, will continue to be posted on my blog, Grains of Sand or, in the case of romance, my blog A Little Romance.
I am lagging in one arena. Do you see? Once I'm into a classic (in a genre I like), I enjoy it. But little grabs and holds my attention like a well-written romance or cozy and there are so many of those, so many authors I enjoy. All the same, I still plan on completing the Back to Classics challenge. I know I will enjoy the books and feel better for having read them.
I hope that this encourages you to read even more and also to join a book club! I love my online book club, Book Nerds Review. So much fun!
